Fabulous Nationally Known Teachers at Waechter's

We have two wonderful events happening this fall at Waechter's. The first is a guest teaching event with Carol Ahles. Carol is one of the premier experts in this country on Heirloom Sewing by machine. Her book "Fine Machine Sewing" is a must have if you ever want to do any Heirloom type sewing.

I have personally taken classes with Carol and she is a fabulous teacher. Her style is organized and efficient while tempered with a lot of patience. I spent two days learning from Carol about five years ago and I enjoyed every minute of it. I wish I had taken her classes before I made the christening gown for my grandson.

Just so you know, heirloom sewing is not limited to children's clothes. It works great on fancy blouses or wonderful lingerie. I wish I had more time to play with these techniques as they really dress up a project.

Our second major event is a three day sewing retreat with Linda Lee and Louise Cutting.
They will be here November 5th through the 8th. This is an open forum sewing workshop to help you with skills, techniques or fitting. Linda and Louise are both incredible technicians. Linda Lee owns Sewing Workshop and is the fashion and business mind of the company. Louise Cutting is the owner of Cutting Line Designs. She too is the business and design brains of her company. There are several special events planned during the workshop. We will be having cocktail parties, dinner parties, trunk shows, and more special guests to name a few.
