Lots of New Things at Waechters

Spring fabrics just keeps coming in to the store. We have loads of new cotton and spandex prints and some solids. The prints are a variety of colors. The solids are a glorious red and black. We keep getting new knits in for the spring. There are many more coming from what I found in market. We have solids and prints of all kinds. Most are cotton blends or rayon blends. Eyelet abounds in the store. We have all kinds of patterns on white and we even have a peach eyelet.

I got a little carried away with all the Japanese cottons this year. They are here. We have a group of gorgeous neutrals, we have textured cottons and we have loads of beautiful indygo batiks. We made up a Whistles Blouse from Linda Lee's Sewing Workshop. It is a wonderful combination of four indygos. I even wore it in Vegas market week and people stopped me in the aisles to comment on my top. The blues look so fresh this year.

Several of our pattern lines have new patterns. Check out the website and you will see new patterns from Sewing Workshop, Decades of Style, D'Leas, Louise Cutting, and Saf-T-Pockets. We also have two fabulous new children's lines called Sew Baby and Oliver and S.

This year I took a major stand on cotton shirtings and it is working. I had a retired couple in last week who used to be in the fashion industry. They were both buying more than one shirting to have a local artisan make their summer shirts. Of course we have sold loads of Liberty for shirts. We even shipped a large order to a major tailor in New York to make shirts for a customer. So shirts are definitely happening and we have the inventory to support lots of different styles and colors.

We have also received a lot of new trims and buttons. We are in the process of installing those on the website. Hopefully, they will be completed in the next ten days or so.

We have added a ton of new samples to our gallery. Elizabeth has been very prolific this spring and so has Betsy. Check our the adult and heirloom galleries and you will see their work.

We marked down our sale fabrics further this last week. Many of them are 75 % off. Check it out. They go fast when they get this low.

Hope all of you are enjoying spring. The trees and many of the shrubs are in full bloom in Asheville. Needless to say it could not be more beautiful. Come see for yourself. Happy Sewing. Joyce
