Exotic Fabrics Arrive at Waechters

Not only did the burnouts arrive and we were oh so excited, but our new evening fabrics arrived. These three fabrics are embellished nettings. They are fabulous. One is olive green with embroidered and beaded dots. One is burgundy with pink 3-D flowers all over and the last is black with multi colored 3-D flowers all over.

I am taking a few days off, because I feel like a burn-out but not a velvet. When I return we will focus on putting all the new fabrics on the web. We are behind with all the new arrivals for fall.

We also continue to get new samples completed each week. They also are very inspiring. Elizabeth just completed an organza jean jacket. This jacket was made from the Grainlines- Lorraine Torrence Jumbalaya Jacket. It is hot. Today, she brought me a sample of the Fajita skirt from LJ Designs. It is a great skirt. We all want to make one. She is also working on our Paris Evening Coat. Hopefully, that will be done in the next week. I can't wait to wear it.

Betsy has completed two white silk christening gowns. They are simple, elegant and washable. We made one trimmed with pink and one with blue. Since they are sheers the soft pastel slips that match the trim really make them almost tinted with color. It is a subtle effect, but very striking.

We continue to receive new things each week. Fall is fast approaching and we have the new fabrics to help create your dream projects. Come by and see the new things or check out the web and see what gets put on in the next few weeks. Happy Sewing. Joyce
