Growing Website

Hello to all,
As I type the buttons are multiplying on the web. We have at least two hundred styles to go up in the next week or so and many of those come in multiple sizes. We are also adding children's fabrics and buttons. The patterns will come soon. Now, we have over one hundred trims on the web and new ones to be added in the next few weeks. Hope you enjoy hanging out in your pajamas and shopping on our website. Don't forget we still have the sale on. There are lots of patterns at 25% off and many fabrics at 25% to 50% off. All our wools are on sale at 25-33% off. Have a great day and lots of happy sewing. Joyce and the Waechterettes

New Arrivals

Tons of beautiful things are coming in for spring. We just received several bolts from two of our favorite suppliers. One is all designer closeouts and the other is a wonderful importer of fine fabrics from Europe. There are beautiful cottons, printed silk organza, silk matkas and much more.

We also got a shipment of felted fruit from a wonderful artisan who raises her own sheep and felts the wool from them into beautiful things. Come see all the different fruits and vegies. They make great pincushions, or you could just pile them in a big bowl on your table. The peas are my favorite.

Recently, we received a new pattern line called Decades of Style. They are chic and fabulous patterns from the early 1900's on through the fifties. I really like several of them. There are two fabulous evening gowns, and a superb wrap.

Buttons have been coming in every week. One is more slick than the next.

Now I have my work cut out for me to get all these things photoed and put on the web. Please, don't hold your breath. Just come see them and our new carpet.
Happy sewing. It is a glorious spring like day here. Joyce and the Gang.

Morris Prints

Hi Everyone,
It is a snowy Saturday morning. We have a techniques class going on this morning. It's all about making buttonholes. Everyone in the class is very excited to lose their fear of this skill.

Most exciting of all our receipts this week is nine styles of William Morris type, print cottons. They arrived just in time for the Arts and Crafts weekend at the Grove Park Inn. That should be a big hit. We hope to get them on the web in the next few weeks.

We are madly working this weekend to add tons of buttons and trims to the web. Soon we will also add all our heirloom-childrens patterns and fabrics. Thanks for all your positive response to the web.

Have a great sewing Saturday. Joyce

New Carpet & New Blog

Just a note to tell everyone we are so excited. Our remodel that started last spring is finally finished. For four days this week we moved everything in the store and installed new carpet in the store. We also installed new tile in the classroom. I am so excited the classroom will be easy clean. The store looks like a jewel box and I am thrilled. Whew, what a relief to have that behind us.

At the same time Heather our webmistress extraordinare has installed our new blog. We hope you enjoy reading about all the things happening here. Thanks for being our customers.
